Designtree was founded in September 2005 by Dorien Franken. From her office in the centre of Amsterdam, Dorien works for a variety of clients both national and international, profit and non-profit.
In today's crowded media landscape, Dorien helps brands to find authentic ways to get in touch with their audience. She's an expert in creating tailor made or topic driven magazines, newspapers and other print items that meet the purpose of connecting. With that skill art direction is a number one necessity.
As a creative consultant Dorien guides clients and teams through each step, encouraging them to stretch their possibilities, to dare.
Having worked in advertising for many years, where she helped brands develop and strengthen within a competitive market, Dorien learned that strong strategy is essential. Plus teamwork. She's flexible when working in a team or can assemble one from my long built network of creative professionals.
Dorien is also the founder and creative director of The Folks Of Amsterdam, a new independent magazine that shares in-depth stories of today's creative, daring and adventurous folks of Amsterdam. The magazine is co-created with British writer Siji Jabbar and Dutch photographer Jerome de Lint, all working and living in Amsterdam.
